TV Line’s Michael Ausiello has reported that Carson Daly, who rose to fame as the TRL host on MTV, will be exiting “Last Call” to join “TODAY.”
Daly will host the show’s new social media focused, “Orange Room.” “Last Call” first began airing on NBC in January 2002, and will begin its 13th season this year. Daly will continue to be executive producer, but will transition out of his hosting duties.
Daly will also remain at the peacock network as host of the singing competition, “The Voice,” which begins its 5th season on September 23.
