Newcomer to the daytime circuit, Casey Moss has certainly been making heads turn with his portrayal of JJ Devereaux on NBC’s award winning drama, “Days of our Lives.”
JJ returned to Salem after he was accused (and later, we learn it to be true) of doing drugs on campus. Combine that and the fact that he also lost his father, Jack, and having to deal with his mom, Jennifer, and her relationship with Dr. Daniel Jonas, it could make it a bit to bear. Moss talked about how JJ’s relationship with Jennifer:
“The best way I can describe the relationship between the two is that it is very unhealthy. JJ is very confused right now. He comes home, and his dad dies. JJ wasn’t even home for that. All of a sudden, he sees a picture of a different guy in the house. I think any boy would act like, ‘What the hell, Mom?!’ Honestly, it is a betrayal. JJ looked up to his dad, and he was the #1 guy in his life. While Jack was not around most of his life, JJ still looked up to him. Now, he’s gone.”
JJ certainly has his hands full even more now that Theresa has come to Salem. What the fans later learned is that she is the daughter of Kim and Shane Donovan. Casey talked about what it is like working with “DAYS” newcomer, Jen Lilley:
“I LOVE working with her. She is always on it and spot on. It’s great. I can’t give you details, BUT, I will tell you that the stuff I got done filming about a month ago is pretty crazy. Our story right now is kind of off and on, and we are fighting this attraction for one another. It’s going to get very intense!”
Aside from working on “DAYS,” Casey also writes and plays music. We got the chance to talk a bit about that as well. In the meantime, you can watch him perform his original song, “Pour Down on Me,” below:
